Steel terrace and balcony railings, made to measure
An outdoor railing lives in rain, frost and sun. We make it in steel, hot-dip galvanised or powder-coated, to your drawings and with fixings suited to your structure.

Terrace, balcony, walkway, flat roof
We make guardrails for slab terraces, balconies, loggias, access galleries, walkways, flat roofs and exterior stairs, for houses, apartment buildings and commercial buildings. We start from your drawings and your structure.
Infill to choose from
- Vertical rods: the most common solution
- Horizontal rails or cables: a contemporary look, for projects where climbing is not an issue
- Laminated glass in a steel profile: to keep the view
- Perforated sheet: for privacy, with the perforation pattern of your choice
- Laser-cut panels, including in Corten (weathering steel): a bespoke pattern such as mountains, a logo or geometry
Fixing to your structure
- On a base plate above a concrete slab
- On the slab edge, side-fixed
- Between two walls
- To a steel or timber structure, with suitable plates
We draw the base plates, post spacing and fixings from your drawings, so the guardrail arrives ready to install.
Galvanised, powder-coated or both?
- Hot-dip galvanising: long-lasting protection outdoors, with a zinc grey finish
- Galvanising then powder coating: RAL colour of your choice and stronger protection in aggressive environments (coast, damp areas)
- Powder coating only: for a sheltered loggia or balcony
Height, gaps and strength
Height and the gap between rods depend on the building and the rules of your country, and strength against horizontal loads depends on how the building is used. We size the guardrail to your data and to the rules that apply to your site.
How to get a quote
- A plan, a survey or photos with dimensions (DWG, DXF, IFC, PDF)
- The total length and the height you want
- The support (concrete slab, slab edge, steel, timber)
- The infill style and the finish
- The delivery address
We come back with shop drawings and a price.

Questions we hear often
What height should a terrace or balcony guardrail be?
It depends on the country, the building and the drop height. We apply the rule that applies to your site in the drawings, to be confirmed with your engineer or control body.
Galvanised or powder-coated for outdoors?
Hot-dip galvanising is the best protection for steel outdoors. Powder coating adds colour. Together they last best in damp or salty environments.
Can the guardrail be fixed to the edge of the slab?
Often yes, when the slab and its edge allow it. The structure must take the loads, which we check on your drawings before fabrication.
Do you work from architects' drawings?
Yes. Send the drawings (DWG, DXF, IFC, PDF) or a sketch with dimensions. We draw the guardrail, the plates and the fixings, then come back with shop drawings and a price.
Can you make a Corten steel guardrail?
Yes. Corten steel develops a protective patina, and laser cutting gives a bespoke pattern. Rust run-off onto the facade and slab has to be planned for, and we take it into account in the detail.
How much does a steel terrace guardrail cost?
The price depends on the length, the infill, the fixings and the finish. Send us a plan or photos with dimensions and we reply with a detailed quote.
Do you deliver to France and Germany?
Yes. Our guardrails are made in our workshop in Sofia, Bulgaria, and delivered to France, Germany and across Europe.
