Stairs Lab
Staircases we have built
Every staircase here was drawn, cut and welded in our workshop in Sofia. Stairs Lab is the staircase brand of BarDI Group, which has made steelwork since 1991, including railings for more than 60 Bouygues Construction projects in France.

Curved helical staircase, La Défense, Paris
A helical staircase with a curved steel stringer, standing in front of a living wall in the Paris business district. Holding the curve over the full height took a lot of hand work in the shop. Made in Sofia and installed on site. It is the example shown for our Vitosha model.
- Location: La Défense, Paris, France
- Our scope: Fabrication and installation

"Bird Nest" staircase, co-working space, Sofia
Hundreds of steel rods welded at different angles into a balustrade that looks woven. Every rod had its own length and angle, so the precision and hand work were high. Timber treads on a steel structure.
- Location: Lozenets, Sofia, Bulgaria
- Our scope: Fabrication and installation

Galvanised industrial staircase, Lyon area
Two flights with a landing, grating treads and railings on both sides, all hot-dip galvanised for outdoor use. Fabricated in Sofia and installed in the Lyon area.
- Location: Lyon area, France
- Our scope: Fabrication and installation

Exterior staircase on a house, Gorna Banya, Sofia
A straight exterior staircase to the upper floor of a house: steel stringers, timber treads, vertical-bar railing. Installed by our own crew.
- Location: Gorna Banya, Sofia, Bulgaria
- Our scope: Fabrication and installation

Who installs?
In Bulgaria, our own crew. In France and elsewhere, partner installers we coordinate; the quote says who and how.
More of our group’s work, including the Bouygues railing projects, is on the BarDI Group references page.
